Buckleys' ST-AC Pro' and PST-100 AC spark testers are ideal for testing the integrity of welded plastic fabrications and tanks as well as thicker coatings and linings or between 3mm and 30mm.
Due to their high-voltage AC power output (ranging from 10kV to 55kV), both the ST-AC Pro' and PST-100 locate defects by finding a path for the spark to jump to the nearest conductive material; even if an earth connection is not available; which is particularly handy for testing items which have been 100% coated.
The PST-100 Spark Tester is a lightweight, ergonomic, hand-held spark test pistol which provides a quick and cost-effective method of inspecting thicker coatings and linings. Coating thicknesses of between 3mm and 30mm can be tested.
The PST100 generates a pulsed-ring output voltage which is adjustable between 10kV and 55kV. Two variants are avaliable; depending on the input voltage being used. The T50 has a 230V input whilst the T52 uses a 110V input. Both models can be purchased on their own or as a comprehensive kit (T51 or T53).
The ST-AC Pro' Spark Tester is a compact yet robust AC spark tester which provides a convenient method of inspecting thicker coatings and linings. Coating thicknesses of between 3mm and 30mm can be tested.
The ST-AC Pro' generates a pulsed-ring output voltage which is adjustable between 10kV and 55kV. The input voltage can be switched between 110V and 230V AC via a simple switch on the reverse of the unit’s sturdy aluminium casing. The ST-AC Pro' comes with a 2m test probe lead, making it ideal for spark testing in confined or awkward spaces whilst the unit’s folding carry handle make it even more convenient and portable.
The ST-AC Pro' is available on its own (T7P) or as a comprehensive kit with accessories and electrodes (T7PA).
